• Ensure your text or important images are inside the 'safe area' so at least 3mm from the edge of the page. Anything closer than 3mm is at risk of being cropped.
• If your design has a background image or colour, make sure it goes right to the edge of the page (so bleeding off the edge in effect) otherwise your print may have ugly white slithers.
• Make sure your design is the same size as your order and the size you choose to upload at the end.
• Don't use borders to the edge of your design (If you use a border, you may end up with lopsided print - so avoid them where possible.
• Ensure all images and backgrounds are at least 300dpi
• If you are supplying solid blacks, to ensure a nice solid black, please use a black make up with a 'shiner' of Cyan = 60%, Magenta = 60%, Yellow = 0% and Black =100%. Also note that any tint less than 5% may not show up on the print.
• If you are using Yellow in your artwork, please check your proof carefully after your upload as the conversion can sometimes result in a slight 'green tint' to your yellow.
• Please be aware that printed colours do not match colours shown on your screen/monitor due to the difference in RGB and CMYK processes.
• All files should be provided as SINGLE pages (i.e. not spreads) so our software can imposition them to our specification. As a result, files not provided as single pages may be printed incorrectly. If you are creating booklet artwork ensure your pdf is a multiple page file (e.g. a 20 page PDF) and not (e.g. 20 separate pdf files)
• If you choose to upload separate files for your Booklet, they should be numbered with a prefix to show the order you want them to print, for example: 01_YourFilename, 02_YourFilename, 03_YourFilename etc.
